The Purpose of Lifespan Faith Development is to offer an intentional process by which individuals can: • Discover their gifts and calling • Build a spiritual foundation grounded in UU traditions and practices • Develop the skills to live in covenanted community which inspires and sustains us. Our Goals are to: • Support individuals and communities in discovering where their gifts meets the world’s needs. • Provide opportunities for generations to share wisdom with one another. • Development skills necessary to interact with the world community based on principles and sources. • Provide opportunities for the continued renewal of The mind, body and spirit.
Our leaders practice cooperative learning. We strive to make our sessions free from traditional bias in matters of sex, economic background, race, physical or mental ability, religious belief and family composition.
We realize that art and music can be powerful tools, and we strive to include activities that encourage all of us to respond to the arts in a spiritual way.
Our denomination encourages faith development programs that serve the needs of a diverse population, and advocacy for the health and well being of all people in our world.
We strive to create an environment, where children, youth, and adults are encouraged to develop their own spiritual path. By fostering the development of personal values, providing knowledge of history and tradition, and creating space for the development of mind and body; we hope to provide our congregation with a way of relating their own lives to the world around them. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us. We will make every effort to accommodate full participation of participants who have special needs. | | First Unitarian Church 2210 Collingwood Blvd Toledo , Ohio 43620 419.241.7189 Children & Adult Faith Development Starting in September Sundays 10 AM
